As Catedrais Beach, or Praia das Catedrais, is a stunning stretch of coastline located in the north of Spain, near Ribadeo. It’s famous for its impressive rock formations that rise dramatically from the sand, resembling the grand arches of a cathedral—hence the name! And trust me, it’s a lot more picturesque than my attempts at building sandcastles.

Getting to As Catedrais Beach is a breeze, with easy access from nearby towns like Ribadeo. When you arrive, prepare to be wowed by the sight of towering cliffs and natural arches. Just be careful not to get too distracted by the breathtaking views; you might forget to check the tide times. This beach is best enjoyed during low tide, when the majestic rock formations are fully exposed, allowing for some epic exploration—just don’t be surprised if a wave comes to remind you who’s boss!

• Rock Formations: The beach is lined with colossal cliffs that soar up to 30 meters high, creating a unique natural spectacle. Don’t forget your camera; these arches are begging for an Instagram moment!

• Tide Pools: As the tide recedes, it reveals a treasure trove of marine life in the tide pools. It’s like nature’s own aquarium—perfect for a little impromptu exploration.
